History

Dr Nick Gilbert studied for his undergraduate degree and PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Edinburgh. He then moved to the MRC Human Genetics Unit, Edinburgh to work as a postdoctoral fellow with Professor Wendy Bickmore. In 2006, Nick started his own research laboratory at the Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre based at the Western General Hospital in the Institute for Genetics and Molecular Medicine with a fellowship from the Wellcome Trust.
