Avon Cosmetics has demonstrated its commitment to the fight against breast cancer by supporting breast cancer research for over 10 years, launching its Avon Breast Cancer Crusade in 1992. Breakthrough Breast Cancer has received over 80% of the funds generated by the Breast Cancer Crusade, totalling over £10 million.

The Crusade continues its awareness and fundraising work and is allocating money from its research fund to support the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade Clinical Research Training Fellowship Programme at the Breakthrough Research Centre.

The programme provides three years’ support for clinically qualified professionals to undertake training in breast cancer research at the Breakthrough Research Centre. Successful candidates are required to register for a research degree, normally a PhD.

How to Apply

A call for applications is announced annually, through The Institute of Cancer Research. At this time, applications are welcome from candidates interested in undertaking research in any of the Breakthrough Research Centre’s areas of interest.
