Investigating ways to improve the efficacy of current endocrine agents as well as delaying the onset of resistance by targeting concomitantly ER and pertinent signal transduction pathways.

Cross-talk between ER and RTK signalling pathways
One strategy to improve the efficacy of current endocrine agents as well as delaying the onset of resistance is to target concomitantly ER and pertinent signal transduction pathways.

To study this further, we have taken a panel of cell lines with naturally varying levels of ER, ERBB2 and HER2 and engineered them to express aromatase.

These, along with our LTED and TamR cell lines, have provided a valuable resource to investigate combination therapies that target both the ER and the various signal transduction pathways associated with endocrine resistance.
