Breast Development Subteam

Projects

Our interest is specifically in the initial development of the mammary gland and how undifferentiated tissue is directed to form the gland.

  • Expression of the Neuregulin family of ligands and their receptors, the Erbb tyrosine kinases in the developing mammary gland
Examining the expression of Neuregulins and Erbb receptors at the early stages of embryonic mammary gland formation.
  • Neuregulin3 (Nrg3) signalling in human breast cancer
Investigating whether Nrg3 plays any role in mediating postnatal mammary epithelial differentiation, specifically in breast cancer.
  • Neuregulin3 signalling in epithelial and mammary gland morphogenesis
Examining the roles of Nrg3 in epidermal morphogenesis.
